Marriott Ordered To Release Michael Irvin "Handshake" Video

Irvin hypes up some fans in Miami.

Michael Irvin was dropped from the NFL Network and ESPN Super Bowl coverage when a complaint from an employee at a Marriott hotel broke the news a few days before the NFL's championship game.

The allegation is that upon returning from a night of drinking, Michael Irvin was inappropriate with a female employee at the hotel.

Michael Irvin states he only remembers a casual handshake.

Now a judge has ordered the hotel to hand over the video footage to Irvin's lawyer, which was due by February 20th, so we can assume Irvin his lawyer are going over the video right now.

Right quick, Michael Irvin fired back with a $100 million dollar lawsuit against the employee and Marriott International for defamation and interference with a business relationship.

Basically, he's saying, "you owe me" for missing work. And if it turns out that all Irvin did was shake someone’s hand, then I think he's probably entitled to some compensation.

But part of me wants to see the video for myself, and in today's day and age, it's only a matter of time before the footage leaks and we can make our own judgments.

Because, if life is about anything, it’s about silently judging everyone else.

CanFan Mock Draft - We Are Mauch Boys!

We did a mock draft on our most recent podcast. We had a lot of fun with our live chat working as our War Room and did a “quick” 4 rounder.

Make sure you come join us every Wednesday at 6PM PST / 8PM CST / 9PM EST (although we are bumping some dates over the next two weeks, so make sure you subscribe to our YouTube so that you don’t miss the show!).

We’ll be doing more in the future, so make sure you come join the fun, Cowboys Nation.

Sam Hurd Released After 10 Years For Trafficking

Ex-Dallas Cowboys WR Sam Hurd catches a touchdown while defenders roll on the ground.

After serving 10 years of a 15-year sentence for drug trafficking, ex-Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Sam Hurd is now a free man.

In 2011, Hurd was arrested in a sting operation while still playing with the Chicago Bears.

Why an NFL player would wrap themselves up in selling drugs is beyond me, not that I think drugs are bad, m'kay, but because I can't imagine risking a professional sports career to do something that the state says will land you behind bars.

To be fair, I would never have a professional sports career. Potentially hot dog eating if that counts.

The deal Hurd made with an undercover agent was to buy 5 to 10 kilos of cocaine, per week, for $25K a kilo. So, $125K to $250K per week at cost, maybe there was a lot of money to be made.

I'm not saying I'd get into selling drugs, but, it makes sense when you look at Hurd's contracts.

I should say, it makes MORE sense; Hurd was making less than $2m a year, minus taxes and paying out fees to management, accountants, lawyers, etc., you probably end up with only half of your money, at best.

All that being said, I wish the best for the dude. 10 years behind bars is wild time to spend for “drug trafficking”, in my opinion, but I'm a pretty liberal dude when it comes to personal choices.

Let's hope Sam Hurd enjoys the rest of his life and can stay out of trouble!

Bobby Wagner Is A Free Man - #CowboysNation, Start The Rumours

LB Bobby Wagner waves bye bye to LA.

Start the rumour bells; Bobby Wagner is also a free man after being cut by the LA Rams.

Last year, Bobby Wagner was someone that I, and the CanFan boys, were hoping the Dallas Cowboys would make a real attempt at.

Unfortunately, Wagner went to the Rams, but that song and dance only lasted one year.

Now, we can have the same conversation as last year because my opinion has not changed!

Wagner finished the 2022 season playing ALL 17 games, had the most sacks of his career (6), second most tackles for a loss (10), and 2 interceptions, adding 5 passes defended.

The dude still has a lot left in the tank, and if that means we let LVE walk, then so be it.

Bobby W is an upgrade, no questions asked, and I would LOVE to see Jerry and the Dallas Cowboys make a real attempt to sign Wagner.

Grading Dallas Cowboys 1st Round Draft Picks

Dallas Cowboys T Tyron Smith just looking like a beast.

Our podcast host Anth wrote an article grading the 1st round draft picks of the Dallas Cowboys from 2007 to 2013.

You can read the full article here.

The rankings go as low as an F for Morris Claiborne to an A+ for Tyron Smith. The most controversial ranking? Probably Dez Bryant.

Read the article to see if you agree, or disagree, and sound off in the comments!

Way Too Early BOLD Predictions 2023 Edition

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup scoring a touchdown, baby!

I wrote another article with some way too early bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys 2023 season. These will definitely change, so I'll have to do another one after the draft.

A couple hot takes; Davis eclipses 1000 all-purpose yards, Gallup finishes with the most receiving touchdowns, and the Dallas Cowboys go on not one but TWO 6 game winning streaks!

You can read the full list of bold predictions here.
