“Now Or Never” Says Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott perspires, waiting for the arrival of the 2023 NFL season.

Everyone in Cowboys Nation has been thinking it for years, but Dak Prescott voiced it.

“The urgency is now, it’s now or never.”

Those are big words. But I like it.

Truthfully, the Dallas Cowboys have a 2-year window with their current core players on offense and defense.

This year is probably their best chance of success. And by success, I mean a 6th Lombardi for the Dallas Cowboys. Some real important parts will need big contracts or will test free agency next year (Pollard, Lamb, and Diggs to name a few).

After that, things will be getting tight with big contracts assumed for Lamb and Diggs; the assumption I have is TP20 walks, and that assumption will become even harder, perhaps even rock hard, if the Dallas Cowboys end up drafting a competent younger running back.

Brandin Cooks Completes Elite WR Core

Brandin Cooks and his son Maverick are ready to take on Trevon and Aaiden Diggs for Coolest Daddy Son Duo!

One of the biggest splashes the Dallas Cowboys have made so far in the off season is trading for Brandin Cooks and then restructuring his contract so he’s only $6m on the books in 2023!

We did a breakdown of what Brandin Cooks could mean to the Dallas Cowboys for the next two or more seasons. You can read it all here.

TLDR? We like the trade!

Cooks brings that speed and shiftiness the Dallas Cowboys could use to help open the field for not only Dak, but the other two recognizable receivers looking to catch the ball in Lamb and Gallup.

Adding Cooks to the pot of ingredients really is cooking up a delicious recipe for the 2023 season!

See what I did there? Cooks. And cooking…

NFL.com Gives Cowboys “A” Grades

Sometime’s it’s hard to give the Dallas Cowboys front office praise. Not for me, though. I am a Jerry Boy, through and through!

That being said, there is a consensus that the Cowboys have done well this off season, and NFL.com agrees!

Trevon Diggs and Stephon Gilmore do their impression of the Mega Powers!

Both trades for Cooks (A Grade) and Gilmore (A+ Grade) were highly approved, and I don’t hear many people complaining.

Sure, they might be saying, “You should have got this guy or that guy”, but overall Cowboys Nation seems pretty happy with the results so far.

That could all disappear, though, if the draft doesn’t go as planned…

Offense Heavy Mock Draft 5.0

We love mock drafts! So we keep doing them.

On our most recent podcast, we do our 5th mock draft and extend it to 5 rounds to allow the possibility of drafting a quarterback… And with the help of @ALLEVENPODCAST and @BoysNtheZone, we did just that!

It was an offense heavy draft, as you can tell. You can watch our full mock draft 5.0 below.
